April 10th, 2025
We had a noon sail in to Bali today so we ordered room service and watched us dock. We had just spent 3 days in Bali when on the world cruise last year and we crammed a lot into the 3 days. We had reached out to the guide we used last year that was recommended to us and he was available. Since we had done so much last time he asked us to research of what we wanted to do this time.
Kadek met us at the pier at 12:30 and off we went. Our first stop was to a jewelry store that we had gone to last time that had tons of silver jewelry and great prices. Kathy had decided she wanted to create a stacking necklace with 3 separate necklaces with varying heights. I managed to find a ring and a pair of earrings.
After the jewelry store we wanted to go to Seminyak to see the hotel our friends Merv and Michelle stay in frequently and we will be there with the this Sept/October. When we arrived and explained why we were there they told us to have a look around.

The pools at the hotel
We thought the hotel was beautiful and very well maintained and everyone was very nice. There are several pools and also access to the beach. We are very excited for our stay here.

One of the sitting areas in the large open reception area.
Our driver took us around Seminyak to show us all the restaurants and shopping and also dropped us off to check out the beach area.

The beach area in Seminyak. The tide was out and there are tons of loungers and umbrellas on the beach.
By now it was 5:30 so he drove us back to Denspar and we had told him we wanted another dinner on the beach like we did last time.

Our table right on the beach to watch the sunset. You can see the whole beach is filled with tables for dining. Kathy is sitting at our table in the picture on the left.

Not much of a sunset due to all the clouds.

Our dinner which you order as a combo and not individually. included steamed white rice, some sort of soup, fried calamari, clams in a spicy sauce, crab, grilled prawns, fish and lobster. Everything was very fresh and was great.

We got serenaded at our table. The whole meal plus 2 cocktails for me and 1 large Bintan for Kathy cost 108 dollars including tip.
After dinner we went back to the ship and agreed to meet at 8am on the next day.
