Sea Day

July 6th, 2024

We had a very smooth sea day. Since we did not have far to go we went really slow and most of the time you did not even know you were on a ship. We had to turn our clocks forward 1 hour before going to bed on Friday. They had Mah Jongg listed on Saturday morning but it was at 9am so I did not make it with the hour time change. I did go into the dining room where they were playing and it looked like they had 3 tables going. There was also a cruise critic get together on Saturday morning at 10am and we wanted to go to that anyway. I know there were some Mah jongg players in the cruise critic meeting so I may try to get up on Monday and see what it is all about.

We mostly wandered the ship getting the lay of the land. The ship has 2 pools, 1 covered and 1 uncovered. There are also kids on the ship and some really small ones at that. They seem to like the covered pool so I guess we will avoid that. Plus it is getting cooler as we go north so not sure how many pool days left.

Here are some pictures of our room.

When you come in the door there is the closet and the entrance to the bathroom on your right. They do have large closets and there is also a cabinet with 6 shelves and the safe. The bathroom is small with very little storage and a very small shower that it is impossible not to get the floor wet every time you shower.

Looking at the room from the entrance hallway and they have put giant TVs in the rooms but at an angle so not quite as easy to watch when in bed. There is a desk and only 1 chair in the room so if you spend anytime in the room someone has to sit on the bed. Below the TV is the cabinet that holds the mini fridge. The second picture is standing at the balcony door looking back at the room. Behind the wall is the closet and the entrance to the bathroom.

Another thing they have added is that when you buy any of the drink packages it comes with 2 premium desserts a day. A premium dessert is either a very fancy sundae or a slice of one of their multi layer cakes. They have Red Velvet and Chocolate. Before I get off the boat I will have to get the red velvet cake at least once and I hope it is not as good as it looks. After lunch we decided to get a speciality sundae.

This was a loaded chocolate sundae and it has frozen chocolate with sprinkles and marshmallows frozen to the side. It is stuffed with goodies on top such as 2 pieces of chocolate, Some Florentine candy, rice crispy treat, Oreo cookie and a brownie. We split one but we defiantly cannot do this everyday!

We had a nice sunset

Tomorrow Halifax, Nova Scotia
