Sea day number 3 of 4 and we know that coming up we have some longer stretches as we start crossing the Pacific to Hawaii and Tahiti. The seas remain fairly calm and we really are not seeing much boat traffic on our journey. We get into our routine and it is amazing how quickly the sea days pass by.
For this post we thought we would show you some pictures of our room so you can see where we will be living for the next 4 months.
This is the view from the doorway when you enter the room.. We do have a full size couch and a chair and a desk chair.
This is standing by the balcony door looking to the entrance to the room. The closet is on the left and the bathroom is on the right.
We have 2 desks/credenzas and that is because we are in a higher category than the usual veranda rooms. The good news with the upgraded room is more storage and 68 square feet more space. We usually print out calendars with what is happening or what we have planned every day and then we have a second calendar so we can write down dinner dates and birthdays and anniversary of people on the ship and back home so we don’t forget. The world map is courtesy of Viking and has a magnetic backing so it sticks to the wall. We will add magnets we get in ports that we have not been to yet.
We have lots of drawers for storage and top the left of the desk chair in the cabinet is a fridge that has an ice bucket, soft drinks, water, candy and nuts all of which is replenished daily if needed. They also give you a bottle of champagne, 2 glasses and any minis you want.
This is the entry way and you have the closet which has shelves and also drawers behind the doors and then you have the drawers you can see which is below the coffee maker that is in every room and they replenish daily and more storage above. To the right side is the bathroom that we will take photos of later and post. We bring command hooks to put on the walls that hold our bags that we use when on shore for the day and also we have a command hook by the sliding glass door for the binoculars.
Here is our balcony and we are on the 6th floor and have a nice over hang that protects us from the sun and rain and very little sea spray up on deck 6. Of course when there water gets rougher we will see.
One more sea day until Cabo San Lucas
We just got upgraded. We are now in 6078. I think we are close to you, just opposite side.
Great news, see you soon
