Sea Day

March 10th, 2025

Today was our first sea day of 24 sea days. We slept in and then had room service for breakfast. When we were on the 23/24 work cruise we kept thinking we would do room service breakfast and before we knew it the cruise was over and we never did it so we wanted to make sure we got it in this time.

We got out of the cabin by 10:30 and found a nice place to lounge down on deck 5. We both read for a while and Kathy started a new cross-stitch project. We used to cross-stitch all the time and probably have not done it now in over 15 years.

Since we had breakfast neither one of us was hungry for lunch so we skipped that. Maj Jongg was listed at 1:30 (no morning Mah Jongg) and I went to see if anyone was there and ended up playing with 3 other ladies. All of them are getting off in Auckland so I know I have a game until Auckland and then we will see.

After Maj jongg I met Kathy back in the room and we sat on the balcony reading until it was time to go to the captain’s welcome party. From 6pm to 8pm all drinks are free and we took advantage of that.

The first picture is our room when you enter through the door. Long and narrow with a love seat and a stool in front of the desk. On the right side picture I am standing in front of the balcony and looking back toward the door. The cabinet to the left has lots of storage in it and there is a closet to the right side as you enter that has drawers and lots of hanging spaces. There is also a fridge in the room and it gets restocked daily with sodas.

This is the bathroom and it is small but does have lots of storage. The shower is to the right as you enter. The picture on the right is the ship’s library which is well stocked with books. It is comforatble seating and is a nice place to perch and read.

Tomorrow is another sea day.
