A few things to mention as we finish up our unexpected sea day. After we left Tenerife we had dinner with a friend and then Kathy was not feeling the best so we turned in early. During the night it got ver rough and we were thrown about quite a bit. I woke up to go play Mah Jongg since we were supposed to have a late arrival into port and left Kathy sleeping in the room. All the decks were wet due to the high winds and when you looked outside there were white caps everywhere. Also all the windows, no matter if on deck 7 or 8 are covered with sea spray.
On the noon report The Captain talked about the wind and how there were gale force winds and it might be tricky getting into Agadir. In my mind he was setting the stage for a cancelation.
Kathy decided to have a day in bed like I did a few days ago and after lunch I went for a pedicure. Around 4:30 The Captain came on and said there was no way we could safely dock. He is hoping the wind dies down in the early morning hours so we can get off tomorrow to do our excursions in Agadir but for the folks on the overland to Marrakech everything was up in the air.
We went up to World Cafe to grab a quick bite and everyone was talking about not being able to do the overland. A lot of them were talking that if they docked in the morning and tried to get them to Marrakech then they would not want to go since it is a 4 hour bus ride and they would miss things they were supposed to do. So not sure how that is going to work out.
It is now 9:30 pm and if you look on cruise mapper you can see that we are circling trying to see what the weather will do.
Our path
Also notable about today is that 2 weeks from today we will be on an airplane flying home and our second world cruise will have been completed.
We will see what happens during the night and where we are in the am.
