Another beautiful day in Australia with blue skies and lots of sun. They no longer allow cruise ships to dock close to town so we were about 45 minutes from the city. The terminal is brand new and very nice but a long walk from the boat to the terminal.

We had signed up for the included tour which was a panoramic drive through Brisbane and then up to a couple of view points to look down on the city. Brisbane has lots of high rises but also lots of green space and they also have a big river winding it’s way through the city.

Brisbane has mountains all around it.

At the end of the tour you could be dropped off in town or back in the port and we opted for staying in town.

Brisbane has 9 bridges that go across the river and 3 of them are strictly pedestrian bridges.

We found a place in town to have lunch.

This was an early day in port and the last shuttle back to the boat was at 3:00 and we did not want to be on the last shuttle. We ran a couple of quick errands but felt like we missed so much of the city and we defiantly could have spent more time here.

We were back on board by 3:30 and we sailed out at 5pm.

Today was our friend Michael, from Linda and Michael, birthday and Linda had arranged the big table for 12 in the back of the restaurant.

After the birthday dinner 8 of us went for a toast in Torshavn and Aaron even opened up a little early for us.

Tomorrow is a sea day on our way to the Whitsunday islands. We have 3 more stops ion Australia before we head to Bali.
